By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 8: Nepal Rastra Bank has submitted the pre-budget review report for the fiscal year 2025/26 to the Ministry of Finance.
Acting Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Dr. Neelam Dhungana Timsina submitted the report to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel on Wednesday, said a press statement of Ministry of Finance.
Acting Governor of Central Bank Timsina said that the report was prepared after visiting various places in the country and conducting studies and discussions.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel said that the report submitted by the NRB will provide significant support in preparing the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
The budget preparation work is moving in full swing at the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel has been busy consulting with top leaders of different political parties and stakeholders.
On Tuesday, he met Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) and leader of the main opposition party Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and discussed the budget issues.
As per the constitutional provision, the government has to present budget for the next fiscal year 2025/26 at a joint session of the Federal Parliament on May 29.
