A child of Indian nationality died in Jhapa after drowning

By Bishnu Prasad Pokhrel, Damak, Apr 28: A boy of Indian nationality died after drowning while swimming in a hotel pool in Jhapa.

Sachin Goswami, the 8-year-old son of Biru Goswami, of Jharmganj Tole,  Kishanganj, India, drowned in the swimming pool of Hotel Woodland, located near the airport in Bhadrapur Municipality-8 on Sunday evening.

The Indian family was visiting Nepal at the time of the incident. 

According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, year year-old sustaining serious injury after drowning in a pool was immediately taken to Om Sai Pathibhara Hospital for treatment, but died during the course of treatment.

Further investigation of the incident is underway.
