Kathmandu, April 27: The House of Representatives approved the amendment made to the banking crime (second amendment) bill, 2080 by the National Assembly on Sunday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel tabled a proposal at HoR meeting, seeking endorsement to the amended bill, to which the HoR members responded in positive.
In response to the queries raised by the lawmakers in the deliberation, Minister Paudel made it clear that the bill would be effective once the inputs from the Upper House were incorporated.
Earlier, lawmaker Prem Suwal opined that if the migration was limited within district along with balanced development, the country could see fall in banking offense.
Another lawmaker Amhad Faruqi stressed the need for incorporating the suggestions from the National Assembly. (RSS)
