Shooting of Kusti concludes

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 10: The shooting of Kusti, which was shot in Kathmandu and its surrounding areas, has concluded recently with an ‘end clap’.

Director and producer Anil Yonjan said that the film wrapped up on its 39th shooting day.

He added that all the scenes have been completed except for the songs.

Director Yonjan said that the film tells the story of a couple who are in love but struggle to live together due to their contrasting personalities.

He said, “Kusti is a tender journey of emotions of hearts that cannot live apart, yet find it difficult to stay together. This emotional yet humorous film is a romantic comedy.”

The cast includes actors Dhiraj Magar, Miruna Magar, Pushkar Gurung, Loonibha Tuladhar, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Dikila Sherpa, Rabindra Jha, Rajaram Paudel, Kiran KC, Surya Man Limbu, Arbin Gurung, Rajani Gurung, and Subarna Thapa, among others.

Dikila Sherpa, known from the popular Indian MTV reality show Splitsvilla Season 5, is making her debut in Nepali cinema with this film.

According to Yonjan, several offers for international screening rights were received during the shooting phase itself, and plans are underway to release the film overseas.

He added that discussions regarding distribution rights in some countries are in their final stages.

The film features cinematography by Umang Shahi, editing by Mitra Dev Gurung, music by Deepak Sharma, Anil Yonjan, and Kalyan Singh, and choreography by Shishir Khati.

According to the film unit, Kusti is scheduled to be released between August and September.
