Defining Piece Of My Life

blog

In Nepal, where the mountains reach the sky,

We lived a life no money could buy.

With bunnies, chickens, and a house so tall,

Two dogs, two cats, and a mouse so small.

We hiked through hills and camped under stars,

Explored Langtang, trekking near and far.

Ten days in the mountains, a dream come true,

With you there, everything felt brand new.

You ran a school downstairs so great,

A club where kids learned to dream and create.

While upstairs, our family grew,

With Mom and my sisters, me—and you.

You’ve taught me so much, made me who I am,

Smart and creative, I’m proud of that fact.

Five or six instruments I try to play,

And I enjoy creating in my own way.

When we came to Delaware, a brand-new start,

Exploring its streets with curious hearts.

No map was needed, with you as our guide,

Through neighborhoods and shortcuts, side by side.

Then we moved to Maryland, a dream come true,

A house of our own, so lovely and new.

With a beautiful car, a new chapter began,

All of it shared with the world’s greatest man.

You gave me a childhood no one can beat,

With mountains, adventures, and memories so sweet.

You’re not just my dad—you’re my guide,

The person I’ll always have by my side.

So on your birthday, I hope you see,

How much you truly mean to me.

You’re the best, and that’s no lie,

Happy birthday, Baba, you’re my forever guy.
