By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar 13: Lumbini Province has defeated Gandaki Province by 14 runs in the ongoing Men's PM Cup at Siddharthanagar, Bhairahawa on Thursday.
Batting first, Lumbini scored a total of 217 runs before being all out in 49.5 overs. To make a competitive score Lumbini's Prajjwol Thapa scored 72 runs, Mrinal Gurung 38, Dev Khanal 33, Biprason KC 25 and Manish Thapa scored 24 runs whereas other batsmen remained unable to score runs in double digits.
In response, Gandaki managed a total of 203 runs in the stipulated 50 overs in 9 wickets.
Gandaki's Arjun Kumal hit 62 runs, Subash Bhandari 30, Muskhan Thapa and Amrit Gurung scored 24 runs each, Kamal Pariyar 15, Vansh Chhetri 12, Sujan Gautam 10 and other batsmen couldn't score runs in double digits.
To stop Gandaki within 203 runs Lumbini's Nirmal Gurung took three wickets alone whereas Biprason KC took two wickets, and Ramesh Kurmi and Nar Sarki took a single wicket each.
