90 dogs registered in Resunga, unregistered owners will face action

By Tilachan Pandey, Tamghas, Mar 10: A total of 90 dogs have been registered in Resunga Municipality in Gulmi District after house and community dogs Management procedure 2081 was implemented.

Chief Administrative Officer at the Municipality Babu Ram Palli informed that as per the procedure, house or community dogs should be registered compulsorily. Following this, 90 dogs have been registered from 14 wards of the Municipality.

According to Municipality, Rs 300 has been fixed to register a dog. After the registration, the dog gets a belt with the identity, vaccines against rabies and internal and external insects are provided to the registered dogs. 

According to the Information Officer of the Municipality, Suresh Khanal, the Municipality has issued notice to the dog owner about fine and penalties if they keep dogs without registration.
