Kathmandu, March 8: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has postponed the party's ongoing 'Maoist with People: Tarai-Madhes Awakening Campaign'.
The Spokesperson of CPN (Maoist Centre), Agni Prasad Sapkota, said the campaign was postponed for now, citing the country's political situation.
Spokesperson Sapkota said that further programmes will be fixed by holding discussions about the country's political situation and the campaign.
"The campaign is postponed for the immediate period by realising the need to make the House businesses effective to focus the issues of people's livelihood, nationality and drafting of crucial laws," Sapkota shared.
He argued that the Campaign was postponed by considering the upcoming election of the free student union at universities, and the festivals like Holi and Ramadan.
Spokesperson Sapkota said that the Campaign will be resumed after some days.
The Maoist Centre had started the campaign from Jhapa two some weeks ago and was scheduled to conduct events in Parsa district on Sunday.
Likewise, the Maoist Centre has summoned its central office-bearers' meeting for Sunday afternoon.(RSS)
