Malangawa (Sarlahi), March 7: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' said the Terai-Madhes awareness campaign has rekindled new hope and optimism among the people.
He said this speaking at a programme organized by the District Coordination Committee of Unified All Nepal Teachers Association as part of the 'Maoist Terai-Madhes Awareness Campaign with postal road-centric people' at Malangawa in Sarlahi today.
He said that they felt there was a new sense of hope among all the people including intellectuals, farmers, labourers, Madhesi, Dalits and indigenous people while reaching to Sarlahi from Jhapa.
Chair Prachanda stressed the need for the people of all walks of life to unite for ending the state of corruption and irregularities.
The role of teachers was important in the social, economic and political transformation of the country, he said, adding that discussions were underway in the concerned parliamentary committees on the bill related to education.
A total of 1,700 amendments have been made to the bill, Chair Dahal viewed that the bill would be brought on the basis of consensus keeping in view the interests of all
Chair Prachanda said that the campaign was launched to provide the rights of the poor, Dalits, laborers and farmers living in the southern part of Madhes, to develop the economic, tourism and agriculture sectors and to establish it nationally by studying the situation of the border areas.(RSS)
