Jhapa, March 6: All the preparations for the 15th District-level President Running Shield Sports Championship have been completed.
The National Sports Council and
District Sports Development Committee, Jhapa, have organized the three-day
championship that is taking place at Mechi stadium from March 7.
Chairperson of the District Sports Development Committee, Prashant Bhandari, said the students of local levels aged 14-18 years selected from the competition would compete in six categories.
There would be a gathering of around
2,000 people including around 125 players in each team in the championship.
Mechi Stadium has been made systematic for the event.
The organizer has estimated the cost of organising the championship to be one million rupees. Though Taekwondo has not been
included in the championship, there would be competition in ITF Taekwondo. (RSS)
