Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of Madhesh Agriculture University suspended

Janakpur, March 5: Vice-Chancellor of Madhesh Agriculture University, Dr Baijanath Mahato, and Registrar of the same university Shree Bhagawan Thakur, have been suspended from their posts.     

The University Senate took the decision to this effect, said Rani Sharma Tiwari, Minister for Education and Culture of the Madhesh Province.     

The meeting, presided over by Chief Minister of Madhesh Province Satish Kumar Singh, also Chancellor of the University, at Janakpurdham on Tuesday night, endorsed the proposal seeking suspension of the duo for their involvement in illegal activities.     

A report prepared by a three-member committee confirmed the duo's involvement in such activities. (RSS)
