Prof. Kharel’s ‘Democracy Rupture, Channel Capture…’ launched

BY A STAFF REPORTER,Kathmandu, Mar.4: Professor P. Kharel's new book ‘Democracy Rupture, Channel Capture Beneath and Beyond the Borders’ was launched on Monday.  

Tribhuvan University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Khadga K.C., Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication Dr. Kundan Aryal, Professor Kharel himself, Dr. Tank Upreti, Dr. Shriram Poudel and others jointly unveiled the book.

Speaking on the occasion, Rector Prof. Dr. K.C. highlighted how Professor Kharel's literary activity and dedication serve as an inspiration to others.

 While discussing Kharel's role as an ‘icon’ in the teaching profession, Prof. K.C. expressed confidence that the book would impart lessons in discipline for study and teaching. He also said that the book would be useful for students and teachers. 

Author and Professor P. Kharel said that his entire life has been dedicated to study and writing. He discussed how he regularly publishes articles, works, and books to express his ideas and enjoys reading books. He expressed his belief that the book would help readers, even if slightly, in thought formation and study. 

 Dr. Aryal said that the Department has benefited from the mentorship of author Kharel. He expressed confidence that the new work would serve as an inspiration for readers. 

Dr. Devaraj Aryal, Dr. Rishikesh Dahal and students from the department were present at the event. 

The 295-page book consisting of eight chapters is published by Mandap Publication House.
