Nepal-India-China Expo begins in Pokhara

Gandaki, Feb 24: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has said that tri-nation tourism expo would present Nepal as a strong destination in the world tourism market.     

Inaugurating the first-ever tri-nation tourism expo called Nepal India China Expo (NICE) in Pokhara on Monday, Minister Pandey said this even would contribute largely in the regional tourism promotion.     

The event is being organized by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in collaboration with PATA Nepal Chapter and Pokhara Tourism Council.     

"The expo will promote Nepal's international image. It will strengthen Nepal's capacity to lure trade from India and China, the two major tourism economies in the world market," he said.     

CEO of Nepal Tourism Board Dipak Raj Joshi said that the event is a prideful moment for the overall tourism fraternity.     

More than 600 individuals including 80 international buyers, 70 sellers and 75 exhibiters are participating in the three-day-long event.     

The expo is expected to serve as a networking and business platform along with exchange of business ideas among the tourism businesses in Nepal, India and China.(RSS)
