Kathmandu, Feb 18: The meeting today of the House of Representatives has unanimously passed the E-Commerce Bill, 2081.
The bill was tabled before the house by Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari.
Earlier, lawmakers had sought the government's opinion on various aspects of the bill. In response, Minister Bhandari said that this bill was introduced to regulate and systematize transactions through electronic means as the purchase and sale of goods and services through electronic commerce is increasing in the country.
Similarly, the annual report of the Attorney General for the fiscal year 2079/80 was presented in today's meeting. Defense Minister Manbir Rai presented the report, on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The next meeting of the House of Representatives will be held on February 23. (RSS)
