Coordinator of Search Committee Shekhar Prasad Poudel submitted the report to the PM with the property status of Nepal Sanskrit University by offering recommendations to clear the encroached upon lands of the university.

The council of ministers had formed a five-member committee under the leadership of former judge Poudel in July, 2024.

The committee has stated that the University holds a total of 1,662 bighas land in Dang. And, of the 1,336 bighas of land in Deukhuri area, 910 bighas of land plots were encroached upon and the university has not received any benefits since 2059 BS.

Poudel has suggested that the government and the political parties should extend their supports to clear the university's encroached upon lands.

Likewise, the university's 200 bighas of land is inundated from Rapti river.

Receiving the report, PM Oli assured to advance necessary steps after studies and interactions and added that padlocking and the encroachment like untoward activities should end in the universities.
