First Traditional Valley Kung Fu competition concludes

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 16: The First Valley-wide Traditional Kung Fu competition, hosted by the Nepal Traditional Kung Fu Society, has come to an end.

The competition that started on Friday in Chandragiri-3, Thankot, Kathmandu was conducted on Saturday. 

Nepal Traditional Kung Fu Society's president, and chief instructor of the society Chandra Prasad Maharjan, said that their key focus was to develop traditional Kung Fu in the country and at the same time enhance the mental and physical well-being of the people.

Close to 200 sportsmen drawn from clubs, schools, and other districts in the valley fielded in the competition. They competed for a total of 32 gold medals, 32 silver medals, and 45 bronze medals. 

The top three schools in the event Dakshinkali Traditional Kung Fu Branch, Thankot Traditional Kung Fu Branch and Manglodaya School won 1st, second, and third place respectively.
