Secretary Aryal pledges Ministry's continued support for RSS's growth and development

Kathmandu, Feb 19: Secretary at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Radhika Aryal pledged the Ministry's full support for overall development of the RSS including the formulation of acts and amendment to existing regulations and statute.     

At a programme organized by the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) here today marking its 64th anniversary, Secretary Aryal noted the organization's qualitative improvement in its services and development of physical infrastructures.     

Aryal suggested that the only state-owned agency should also pay attention towards increasing its revenue sources whilst maintaining its standards and quality in its services.     

She said, "The efforts to diversify and strengthening RSS's services by running news services round-the-clock is commendable. May RSS achieve a success in improving quality of its services."     

The Secretary took the occasion to extend best wishes to the RSS to continue quality service and performance. "The government remains committed to supporting the RSS which is doing noteworthy works," she pledged.     

Stating that her Ministry had been always supporting the RSS in its journey towards development and prosperity, the Secretary assured of the continued support in the coming days.     

It may be noted that the Rastriya Sambad Samiti was formed on February 18, 1962 to disseminate impartial and authentic national and international news and information to the domestic and foreign subscribers.     

The Sambad Samiti later evolved into the Rastriya Samachar Samiti.(RSS)
