Petrol price up; diesel, kerosene drops

Kathmandu, Feb 15: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the price of diesel and kerosene, and increased the price of petrol.     

Today's meeting of the Board of Directors of the stated-owned NOC decided to drop the price of diesel and kerosene by Rs 4 per liter. The NOC has increased the selling price of petrol by Rs 1 per liter. The new price will be effective from tonight.     

With this, the petrol price has been fixed at Rs 165 per litre for the first class, Rs 167 for the second class and Rs 165 for the third class.     

Similarly, the price of diesel and kerosene has been fixed at Rs 153.5 per liter for the first class, Rs 155 for the second class and Rs 156 per liter for the third class.     

The NOC has classified Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj depots in the first category, Surkhet and Dang in the second and Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal depots in the third category.     

According to the new purchase price received from the Indian Oil Corporation today, the price has been adjusted by Rs 0.58 per liter in petrol and Rs 3.59 in diesel.(RSS)
