Two arrested for fraudulent foreign employment schemes

Kathmandu, Feb.14: Two individuals have been arrested for cheating people by promising foreign employment with lucrative salaries. 

The 33-year-old Ramesh Kumar Thakur of  Siraha Municipality-8 of Siraha district who is currently living at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32 and 29-year-old Bishal Thakur of BidehaMunicipality-5, Dhanusha and currently living at Mahalaxmi Municipality -5, Lalitpur,  were detained for fraud. 

They deceived two victims into paying Rs 2.1 million, promising to send them to the United States of America, and became out of contract with the victims following the monetary transaction. 

After the victims filed complaints, Ramesh was arrested from Tinkune, Kathmandu, and Bishal was arrested from Koteshwor, Kathmandu, on Monday. 

Both have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal, Kathmandu, for further investigation and action.
