By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 2: India Women clinched the Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup, 2025 title beating South Africa by 9 wickets in the final match at Bayuemas Oval, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday.
Batting first South Africa Women scored 82 runs being all out in 20 overs.
In response, India achieved the target of 83 runs in just 11.2 overs losing a wicket with 52 balls in hand.
To achieve an easy target India's batsmen Trisha Gongadi scored 44 runs, Sanika Chalke 26 and Kamalini G scored 8 runs.
South Africa's Kayla Reyneke took a wicket.

According to ICC, South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first. India got an early breakthrough as Parunika Sisodia dismissed opener Simone Lourens for a duck.
Shabnam gave the second breakthrough taking the wicket of the dangerous Jemma Botha to reduce South Africa to 20-2 at the end of the 4th over.
Aayushi Sharma grabbed the third wicket, bowling out Diara Ramlakan, further reducing South Africa to 29-3 at the end of the powerplay.
South Africa were in a precarious position going into the halfway mark, struggling at 33-3.
South African skipper had to depart after she tried to release some pressure with a big shot but the ball instead went straight into the hands of Gongadi Trisha at long-off.
With 4 overs to go South Africa was 58-5. Fay Cowling and Mieke van Voorst have set up a small partnership and look to now carry South Africa to a formidable total.
This partnership was broken by Trisha Gongadi and South Africa failed to recover, further slumping to 82 all out.
India got off to a fantastic start, reaching 18 runs without losing a wicket in the first two overs. Their strong momentum continued, soaring to 36 for no loss after four overs in their run chase.
South African captain Kayla Reyneke made the first breakthrough, claiming the crucial wicket of Kamalini India was at 44-1 at the end of the powerplay.
India continued their run flow reaching 65-1 at the end of the 9th over with Trisha Gongadi batting at 38*.
India sealed the match in 11.2 overs chasing down the target of 83 and defending their ICC Women's Under T20 crown.
