HoR passes condolence motion, next meet on Feb 6

Kathmandu, Jan 31: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Friday paid tribute to the late Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana, late Constituent Assembly member Abdul Hamid Siddiki, and the late lawmakers Prem Lal Singh (PL Singh) and Ramaji Prasad Sharma     

Former Speaker Dhungana had passed away on November 17, while Sidhiki on November 18, and Singh on December 16, 2024, and Sharma on January 20, 2025.     

The HoR meeting passed a motion, extending condolence to the bereaved family members.     

Similarly, the HoR reshuffled few parliament committees with changes in responsibility and transfer of three members. Lawmaker Ranjita Shrestha has been assigned responsibility at the Parliament Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resource, while lawmaker Kalpana Chaudhari has been transferred to Finance Committee from Infrastructure Committee and lawmaker Durlav Thapa from Industry and Commerce Committee to Labour and Consumers Rights Committee.     

The HoR is meeting next on February 6.(RSS)
