Nepal Women loses to Netherlands by 20 runs in T20 Tri-Series

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 30: Nepal Women lost to Netherlands Women by 20 runs in the first match of the T20I Tri-Series at Kirtipur on Thursday.

Batting first, the Netherlands scored 157 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in 4 wickets. 

In response, Nepal only managed 137 runs in the 20 overs in a loss of 7 wickets.

To restrict Nepal from winning, Netherlands Caroline de Lange and Eva Lynch took two wickets each whereas Iris Zwilling and Frederique Overdijk took a single wicket each.

Nepali Batsmen Sita Rana Magar scored 28 runs, Kabita Joshi 27, Puja Mahato 24, Rubina Chhetry 11, Samjhana Khadka 9, Kabita Kunwar 8, Indu Barma 7, Alisha Yadav 4 and Bindu Rawal scored 3 runs but remained failed to register a victory against the Netherlands.
