Country does not run by 'stunts', needs everyone's sincere efforts: ​​PM Oli

Kathmandu, Jan.29: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stressed the need for reforms in every sector of society including politics and said that the country will not run by pulling any 'stunt'.

Addressing the inauguration program, 1st Young Lawers Summit, 2025, jointly organized by Nepal Bar Association and Young Lawyers Interest Committee here today marking the Martyrs' Day, Prime Minister Oli has said that the country needs to be freed from chaos and destitution by fulfilling one's duty to people with honesty and loyalty.

He stressed that now everyone should be determined to maintain peace, security, good governance and prosperity since democracy has been brought under the leadership of political parties and people's participation. 

Prime Minister Oli clarified that when parliamentarians need to keep in mind that they are making laws on behalf of the sovereign people while making law and the government should not entertain the illusion that 'I am everything'.


The PM said, “Parliament should make a just law. The relevant bodies should act accordingly. In addition to the principle of balance and control, the practice of following the law itself is more necessary in a democracy.”

PM Oli said, "The government is trying to make a well-governed, corruption-free, prosperous and happy Nepali by being truly honest towards the country, and I believe that legal practitioners will actively support it."
