Kathmandu, Jan 29: National Assembly (NA) Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal has said that to be dedicated to more rights by protecting and strengthening the achievements made so far would be a true tribute to the martyrs.
Issuing a message on the occasion
of Martyrs Day today, he paid tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives
in different types of movements at various times for the rights of the country
and the people.
He also expressed high respect to
the missing combatants and wished for the recovery of the injured ones.
The Chairman of the upper house of
the Federal Parliament said that Magh 16 in the Nepali calendar which is marked
as Martyrs Day is a day to pay special respect and remembrance to the martyrs
who sacrificed their lives for the self-respect and independence of Nepal and
Nepalis.
He said that this day is a day to
resolve to fulfill the dreams and determination of the martyrs for the
liberation and transformation of the country and the people. (RSS)
