By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 27: The meeting of the ruling parties has decided to make the upcoming session of the parliament effective.
The meeting was held today at the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar at the call of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to discuss about the preparations of ruling alliance in the upcoming winter session of Parliament and effectiveness of government's performance.
Talking to the journalists after the meeting, chief whip of the main ruling CPN (UML), Mahesh Bartaula, said that the meeting dwelt on ways and took decision to make the winter session of the parliament effective, particularly with regard to formulation of the laws.
"Discussion was focused on making the session effective. As the ordinance brought forth recently has sent positive message to private sector for development, the meeting decided to have one voice in this regard. The meeting decided that all the ruling parties will have one voice in matters related to the government," said Bartaula.
CPN (UML) Chair and Prime Minister Oli, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, UML's Vice-Chair and Deputy Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, NC's Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka, Chairperson of Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal, Mahantha Thakur, Chairperson of Nagarik Unmukri Party, Ranjita Shrestha, Chairperson of Janamat Party, Dr Chandra Kant (CK) Raut, leader of Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Raj Kishor Yadav, chief whips of parliamentary parties of the ruling parties were present at the meeting.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli shared that ordinances, brought by the government in the recent past, will be tabled on the first day of the parliament meeting and a replacement bill will be tabled soon.
The winter session of the Parliament is commencing on January 31.
