Cooperation govt's three tiers must to ensure quality education: Minister Bhattarai

Gorkha, Jan 25: Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai has stressed the coordination of three tiers of government for the development of education in Nepal. 

Minister Bhattarai said each tier of government should be responsible for enhancing the quality of education in the federal context. She said it while speaking in a press meet organized by Press Chautari in the district headquarters today.     

The Minister viewed the government as moving ahead with an action plan to enforce education free of cost by 2083 BS. She also sought support from all sectors to materialize the action plan. "Education should be accelerated by recognizing and incorporating with entrepreneurship and employment," she underlined, adding that vocational education could generate employment opportunities and enhance employability.     

Minister Bhattarai shared that the School Education Act was currently being discussed by the Education Health and Information Technology Committee of the Parliament. It would be deliberated rigorously to fit the present needs and challenges facing school education and teachers. (RSS)
