Tulsipur (Dang), Jan 24: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' met with the family members of the martyrs and enforced disappeared persons.
The Maoist Centre Chairman met with the families of martyrs at Batawalpur in Tulsipur-8, Dang.
On the occasion, Chairman Prachanda said that he made maximum efforts for the cause of the martyrs and enforced disappeared persons during his premiership.
Sharing the people there about the new laws on truth and reconciliation, Prachanda stated that he is visiting the families of the martyrs and enforced disappeared persons by travelling to their places.
Six people from a single family had got martyrdom during the insurgency in Batawalpur village. Champakali Chaudhary, her sons Sit Kumar Chaudhary, Chandra Bahadur Chaudhary and daughters Kamala Chaudhary, Ram Kumari Chaudhary and Rita Chaudhary were killed from the state side in a bomb explosion. A total of 19 people were killed from the state side in the ward.
Meanwhile, the former Prime Minister visited the Tharu Cultural Museum at Chakhaura village in Dangisharan-3 in the district.
On the occasion, he said the museum was well-managed and important adding that it has played a crucial role in promoting the Tharu culture and history as well as in tourism promotion.
Former Minister and Maoist Centre leader Rekha Sharma, former chief minister of Lumbini Province Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary and others also visited the Tharu Museum.(RSS)
