Three houses ablaze in Gorkha

By Guna Bahadur Roka, Sulikot, Jan.24: Three houses have been destroyed because of the ablaze that broke out in the Gorkha district. 

According to Police Inspector Dhurba Sharma of the District Police Office, Gorkha, two mud houses covered with zinc and one house built after the earthquake were destroyed in Taju, Kunsang, Chumanuwri Rural Municipality - 6 of Gorkha district. 

According to him, the fire lit in the gas stove to cook food caught ablaze making a fire break out around 8 PM on Thursday. 

Police Inspector Sharma said, "Eight cows and three bulls on the ground floor were burnt to death in the fire, while other necessities such as clothes, food stores, and utensils were destroyed."

The fire started at one house and spread to the other two nearby houses. 

A police team from Chumchet police station reached the spot soon after receiving information about the incident and the fire was brought under control with the help of locals. 

It is said that there was no loss of life due to the fire, while further investigation into the incident is underway, according to the District Police Office Gorkha.
