Court orders release of RSP Chair Lamichhane on bail of Rs 6.5 mln
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 9: The Kaski District Court has ordered to release the former Minister of Home Affairs and Chairperson Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane from custody on bail of Rs 6.5 million.
The hearing on whether to continue remand for investigation against seven defendants, including Lamichhane in connection with misappropriating the savings amount of Pokhara-based Suryadarshan Cooperative at Kaski District Court, has today culminated into release him on bail.
The Court also ordered to release the former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police, Chabi Lal Joshi on bail of Rs 8.8 million.
