By Our Correspondent,Humla, Jan. 9: The Nepal Police in Simkot have cleared snow from roads in the Simkot Bazaar area after the snow on the roads turned into ice, making it difficult for vehicular movements.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Khanal said that the snow, which had turned into ice after remaining on the roads for several days, posed a risk of vehicles skidding. To prevent accidents, police personnel were deployed to clear the icy roads.

A team of 25 police officers cleaned the roads to ensure the safe operation of vehicles. DSP Khanal said that snow in areas of Simkot Bazaar that do not receive sunlight has not melted yet, particularly along the road edges.

With a spirit of social service, the police removed the ice to facilitate transportation. The operation focused on the lower and upper parts of Simkot.
