Baniyani (Jhapa), Dec 27: The Haldibari Rural Municipality in Jhapa district has blacktopped 33 kilometres of road in its area after the restructuring of the local level. The rural municipality has blacktopped the major road links here.

Municipality Rabindra Lingden said that blacktop of the roads was initiated by
managing Rs 15 million annually from the internal sources and added that much
more can be done if sufficient funds were received from the federal and
province governments.
In the current fiscal year, the
rural municipality has planned to construct 16 kilometres of road.
The rural municipality is also
working to build bridges by replacing makeshift wooden and bamboo bridges.
Likewise, construction of two
motorable bridges over Bhuteni and Bhusudi rivers are being expedited under the
multi-year project. (RSS)
