Building to run 15-bed hospital ready in Vyas

By Our Correspondent,Tanahun, Nov. 28: A building for the 15-bed Vyas City Hospital has been completed at Dumsi in Vyas Municipality-10, Tanahun. 

The locals are happy after the completion of the hospital building.

Baikuntha Neupane, Mayor of Vyas Municipality, said that a building for a 15-bed hospital has been constructed to provide treatment facilities to the people of Ward Nos. 5,6,7,8 and 9.

He said the hospital would be operated from the municipality's resources.

Mayor Neupane said that with the operation of the hospital, half the population of the municipality would be able to get treatment in their village. 

The municipality decided to run its hospital when the flow of patients increased in Damauli Hospital functioning under Gandaki Province. 

Tulsi Ram Sapkota, Chairman of the Hospital Management Committee, said that the locals  were happy after the completion of the construction of the hospital building.

Sapkota said that public land used by the locals was provided to build the hospital in the hope of getting easy treatment. 

According to Sapkota, the building was constructed for Rs. 8.9 million of Vyas Municipality.
