Kathmandu, Nov 22: Nepali Congress (NC) has collected inputs and recommendations on the measures for economic reforms by taking stock of the existing economic status of the country.
Organizing a discussion here today, the NC parliamentary party had consulted with the former finance ministers, former ministers of state for finance, former vice-chairperson of the National Planning Commission, former governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, representatives of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Nepalese Industries, Federation of Contractors' Association of Nepal, other private sector organisations, and economic experts.
NC chief whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire said the suggestions received would be approved by the next meeting of the NC parliamentary party and then it would be handed over to the government for implementation.
NC parliamentary party leader in the National Assembly, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Vice President Dhanraj Gurung, General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arju Rana Deuba, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka, chief whips and whips of the House of Representatives and National Assembly, NC central members and industrialists were present on the occasion.(RSS)
