‘Her Innocence Discovered’ goes to global readers

Translated by Dr. Bal Ram Adhikari, this new version introduces readers worldwide to the celebrated narrative and profound themes of the original work by JN Dahal.

The novel, which earned Dahal the HimTika Fictional Award at a prestigious literary convention in Canada hosted by the Literature Council of Bhutan, offers a unique lens on themes of self-discovery, resilience and the challenges that arise at the crossroads of tradition and modernity.

Translator Dr. Bal Ram Adhikari, an essayist and a Lecturer in English Education at Tribhuvan University, Nepal, is widely esteemed for his expertise in translation studies, with his recent publications highlighting the intricacies of literary translation for Nepali EFL students.
