Four injured in road mishap

By Anil Parajuli, Hetauda, March 18: Four persons sustained injuries in a road accident in Makwanpur District on Tuesday.

The accident occurred at Dharakholsa in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-3 along the Dakshinkali road section when a Hiace van heading towards Sarlahi from Kathmandu went out of control.

According to the Bagmati Province Police Office, Hetauda, the vehicle (Ba 4 Kha 6035) met with the accident after its brakes failed and it crashed into a roadside wall.

The injured have been identified as Aayush Magar, aged 2, and Abinash Pariyar, aged 6, from Sarlahi, Bikky Kumar, 21, of Barahathwa Municipality-7, and the driver Karan Shrestha, 25, of Barahathawa Municipality-6.

Spokesperson of the office, Nantiraj Gurung, said that the injured sustained injuries to the forehead, face, hands, and eyes.

Police said that the injured were provided initial treatment at Sisneri Health Post, while the driver was referred to the Trauma Center Kathmandu for further treatment.

A police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Ram Prasad Yadav from Sisneri Police Post has reached the site and is conducting further investigation.
