Construction of strategic projects needs to be expedited: NC president Deuba

By Pushkar Bhandari, Dadeldhura, Nov 14: Former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) president Sher Bahadur Deuba has highlighted on expediting construction of strategic projects.

Speaking at the meeting of the NC Dadeldhura district committee, president Deuba said that the strategic projects that have been initiated for the development of the Sudur Paschim province including the Dadeldhura district should immediately be moved forward.

He underlined the need for all to work for expediting projects such as West Seti Hydropower project, Dadeldhura airport, Daiji-Lipna-Jogbuda-Chirkitte-Bajhang road and Dadeldhura Medical College.

The president instructed all NC activist to support the strategic projects initiated by the government, said Hemraj Chataut, secretary of NC Dadeldhura district committee.

Also discussed in the meeting was the NC's 100-day Pledge Journey (Sankalpa Yatra). NC president Deuba urged all party leaders and cadres to work as per the objectives of the Journey and play role in safeguarding democracy and federalism.
