Uranwa community celebrates Sukarati Jatara during Tihar

By Jay Krishna Yadav, Inaruwa, Nov 4: The Uranwa community in Sunsari district has celebrated Sukarati Jatara festival on the occasion of Tihar festival.
Bechan Uranwa, Chairperson of Nepal Uranwa Indigenous Nationality Trust, said that Sukarati Jatara is celebrated collectively and it has been marked in settlements of Uranwa community in Sunsari district.
During Dashain festival, the Uranwa celebrated Karam Jatara while during Tihar they observed Sukarati Jatara, said Samp Lal Uranwa, a resident of Bhokraha Narasingh-1, adding Sukarati Jatara was marked this year on Monday.
