By Keshab Gurung, Kathmandu, Oct.8: A throng of devotees has been observed in various Shakti Peethas of Kathmandu valley. Shakti Peethas are places of worship consecrated to the goddess Shakti, known as Durga Bhawani, therefore, following the advent of Dashain, all nine forms of the goddess Durga are worshipped. 

Goddess is worshiped in many Shakti Peethas such as Guhyeshwari Temple, Maitidevi Temple, Dakshinkali, Kalikasthan Temple, Shova Bhagawati Temple, Taleju Bhawani, Naxal Bhagwati, Vijeshwari Jignyasa Temple, Bhadrakali and Indrayani Temple, during Dashain festival. 

There has been an influx of devotees in Maitidevi Temple since the early morning of Tuesday. It is believed that one's wishes are fulfilled and immense strength is received after worshipping the goddess of strength, Devi Durga, therefore, one can observe a throng of devotees in Shakti Peethas all over the country.
