Mahout killed in elephant attack

By TRN Online, Chitwan, Oct.4:  Mahout died in an elephant attack in the Chitwan National Park (CNP).

The 34-year-old Jagdu Singh of Haripur Municipality, Sarlahi district died on Thursday evening after being attacked by an elephant. He was going to the Elephant Breeding Center, Sauraha after visiting the market. 

Chief Conservation Officer of the CNP Dil Bahadur Pun Magar," Singh was on the way to the center after crossing a bridge near Kohorsor. He was attacked by the elephant that was resting under the Simal (Bombax Ceiba) tree. One other person who was with Jagdu managed to flee and survived."
