Policy initiative made to improve SEE result: PM Oli

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept.18: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that a policy initiative has been started to increase the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results to around 70 per cent. 

Addressing the program organized on the occasion of "National Education Day 2081 BS, PM Oli said that the government is relentless towards removing the aspects that are making the existing education system lag while mentioning that significant improvement is being made by teaching the major subjects online. 

Currently, around 70 per cent of students appearing in SEE are graded each year. 

A policy initiative has already been started to increase the pass percentage to make a significant improvement in the results of SEE. There is no leisure time for just talking. The education of the land that has been bestowed with knowledge, skills, yoga, civilization, and culture will no longer lag. 

PM said, "Education was developed in every nook and corner of the country after the democracy of 2007 B.S, however, we are yet to reach that point as we should have. Ranas and kings were more indulged in their luxury and rule over people, but now it's democracy. It is the responsibility of all to nor the let the existing education system fall behind." 

He urged education experts to produce globally competitive human resources. 

The PM distributed prizes to the excellent schools, colleges, and organizations which has excelled at higher levels, school levels, and social spheres. 

National Education Day is being celebrated nationwide today with the slogan, "Knowledge, Science, Skills, Entrepreneurship, and Originality: Partnership and Systemic Competence."
