By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 14: Essayist and travel writer Yubaraj Nayaghare has come up with his 19th book ‘Agoko Biu’ (Seed of Fire) a collection of essays. Earlier, he had nine travelogues and 10 essay works to his credit.
Nayaghare is known for skillfully portraying the neglected aspects of Nepali society in his essays, drawing from raw, authentic, and traditional Nepali characters and imagery.
In 2008, he won the Madan Puraskar for his autobiographical essay collection ‘Ek Haatko Taali’.
His ‘Aagoko Biu’ is also in autobiographical style.
Nayaghare, who has established himself as a parallel writer in both essay and travel writing, is recognised for his distinctive style and narrative technique.
Speaking about ‘Aagoko Biu’, the writer said, “Every sector of society is in a state of confusion, intolerance, and disorder. Through introspection, I have composed these essays.”
This collection, comprising 26 autobiographical essays, has been praised by critic Kumari Lama, who said, “Nayaghare is a powerful essayist who brings a refined and elevated dimension to Nepali essays.”
