By Amar Raj Naharki, Tanahun, Sept. 13: Siddhartha, a three-star hotel, has come into operation in Damauli since Thursday.
The Siddhartha Business Group of Hospitality, which has been expanding its hotel network across the country, has opened a three-star hotel named Siddhartha Hotel in Damauli.
Sushil Neupane, Chief Executive Officer of ApexHospitality, said that the hotel was constructed with an investment of Rs. 1 billion as the inflow of domestic and international tourists is increasing in the district but there are few hotels with the facilities the tourists look for.
"Damauli, located between Pokhara and Bandipur, is a popular tourist destination in Nepal that has huge tourist potential, so we felt the need for a hotel that has the harmonious blend of comfort and quality," he said.
According to him, the hotel has two cinema halls and two seminar halls, including a large seminar hall that can accommodate 150 people. Meetings, conferences, weddings and other parties and banquets can be organised in that hall.
The hotel is operated by upgrading the building of the Apex Multiplex Pvt. Ltd. located in Vyas Municipality-2, Damauli. Baikunth Neupane, Mayor of Vyas Municipality, inaugurated the hotel amidst a function on Thursday.
He expressed his belief that the operation of such hotels would help in attracting tourists. He appreciated the Siddhartha Business Group of Hospitality for operating the hotel to provide quality services to domestic and foreign tourists. Around 40 people are employed in the hotel.
Apex Mall was intended to be a shopping mall and cinema hall, but due to the decline in local business due to the impact of the pandemic and economic recession, Siddharth Hotel came into operation in the building initially constructed for Apex Mall, said the hotel management committee. The building where the hotel is located also has a QFX cinema hall so visitors will get entertainment and hospitality at the same place.
Siddharth Vilasa (five-star), Siddhartha Vaibhav (four-star) and Siddhartha Batika (three-star) hotels are operating under Siddharth Hospitality.
There is also an arrangement for underground parking and an electric charging station for electric vehicles, according to the hotel. The hotel will provide services with all necessary facilities at a reasonable price, said CEO Neupane.
