Kelme’s support continues in NSJF Pulsar Sports Award

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 11: The Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF), the organiser of the prestigious sports award 'NSJF-Pulsar Sports Award', has renewed its co-sponsorship agreement with Kamru Trading Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of the international sports brand ‘Kelme’ in Nepal.

NSJF General Secretary Prajwal Oli and Kamaru’s Managing Director Uttam Neupane signed the agreement papers on Tuesday. The NSJF Pulsar Sports Award-2080 is taking place on September 13 at the Nepal Academy.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to continue the coordination with the sports award, Neupane said, “We are always ready to support the development and promotion of Nepali sports.” Oli also applauded the support of Kelme for the award ceremony.

As the co-sponsor, Kelme Nepal is also providing its brand’s clothes to the NSJF.

The nominations for the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards have been announced for five categories. This year, there are five nominees in each category: Peoples’ Choice, Best Male Player, Female Player, Youth, and Coach. The winners will be announced on the day of the award ceremony.

The five nominees for the Peoples’ Choice Award were made public on August 23 and the voting was opened. The athletes nominated in the category are Gulshan Jha (cricket), Kabita Bhatta (volleyball), Manmati Bista (kabaddi), Preeti Rai (football) and Shreeram Shrestha (rugby).

The voting is open until September 27 at midnight and can be voted from eSewa and Facebook pages of NSJF Pulsar Sports Award of the main sponsor, Hansraj Hulaschand Company. 

The award ceremony will also be attended by sports journalists from all around Asia and other parts of the world. The NSJF is hosting the 25th AIPS Congress from September 11-14.
