National unity among political parties indispensable: NC leader Sitaula

Kathmandu, Aug 22: Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has asserted that national unity among political parties that were united for political change was indispensable for the prosperity of the nation and people.     

In course of clause-wise discussion on Bill related to Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons and Truth and Reconciliation Commission (Third Amendment), 2079 in today’s meeting of the National Assembly, leader Sitaula pointed out the need of national unity among the parties again in the current situation.     

“National unity is necessary to renowned Nepal as the competitive country in the world forum. It is the political parties that strengthen national unity.     

NC Parliamentary party leader in the NA, Sitaula mentioned, “Let’s all political parties unite again and fulfill the people’s desire of political, economic, social and cultural change. The country again has wanted extensive understanding and unity among the political parties. Let’s again stand together in theoretical and policy-level manner to move ahead with common concept.”     

Stressing that everyone should pay attention all should pay attention to make every possible efforts to provide justice to conflict victims, he explained that performance of the Truth and Reconciliation commission should be made effective.     

The commission should be given full shape in order to provide justice to conflict victims, he added.(RSS)
