Newly elected parliamentary committee presidents administered oath

Kathmandu, Aug 15: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected presidents of two parliamentary committees today.     

The newly elected Presidents are Ishwari Devi Neupane (Parliamentary Hearing Committee) and Thakur Prasad Gaire (Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies and Obligations of the State Committee).     

Neupane is lawmaker from Nepali Congress while Gaire is from UML.     

Present on the occasion were National Assembly (NA) chair Narayan Prasad Dahal, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ajaya Kumar Chaurasiya, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, NA vice chair Bimala Ghimire, chief whips of NC and UML among others.(RSS)
