Ten persons injured in lightning in Kailali

Kailali, Aug 11: A lightning occurred at Uttarmuda of Bardagoriya rural municipality in Kailali district injured 10 people on Sunday.     

Those sustaining injury in the incident were Phariya Devi Chaudhary, Rita Devi Chaudhary, Maya Chaudhary, Kamalapati Chaudhary, Kiran Chaudhary, Urmila Dagaura, Parbati Chaudhary, Phul Kumari Chaudhary, Nirmala Devi Tharu of Uttarmuda.     

Similarly, Mamata Tharu of Dhusara at Ghodaghodi rural municipality-2 got injured in the thunder bolt, according to the District Police Office, Kailali.     

Police Inspector Lokendra Singh Karki shared that the Tharu people were injured in the strike while they were preparing meal on the 13th ritual day of mourning a local resident, Bhim Bahadur Chaudhary.     

All the injured ones have been receiving treatment at Bardagoriya Hospital at Bauniya, police added.(RSS)
