House member Singh donates Rs. 999,999 to eye hospital

By Our Correspondent,Hetauda, Aug. 8: Deepak Bahadur Singh, a Member of the House of Representatives elected from Makwanpur and the Chairman of the Infrastructure Development Committee in the Lower House, has provided financial support to the Hetauda Community Eye Hospital.

At a programme organised on Tuesday, lawmaker Singh handed over a cheque worth Rs. 999,999 to the hospital.

This amount was collected from his one-year salary, fulfilling his election promise to use his salary for social service.

The cheque was presented to Dr. Sanduk Ruit, Executive Director of the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology.

Singh reiterated his commitment to continuing the use of his salary for social services.

Dr. Ruit stated that the institute is dedicated to providing quality health services to citizens and highlighted its non-profit approach.

Dr. Sunil Thakali, Head of Hetauda Community Eye Hospital, said that the financial support would help enhance the hospital’s service capabilities. He highlighted the increasing number of patients receiving eye-related services and mentioned that the hospital has launched various initiatives, including eye camps and cataract surgeries.
