PM Oli visits Chyasal, pays homage to three veteran Communist leaders

Kathmandu, July 15: Newly appointed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the Chair of CPN (UML) today visited the party's office at Chyasal in Lalitpur to pay homage to three veteran Communist leaders.     

The Prime Minister headed to Chyasal following the oath-taking ceremony as the new Prime Minister at the Office of the President. At Chyasal, he laid wreaths at the portraits of the founding leader of the Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Lal Shrestha, the party's former Chair Man Mohan Adhikari and the party's the then then-general secretary Madan Bhandari.     

Accompanying the Prime Minister to Chyasal were newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Minister for Information and Communications Prithvi Subba Gurung, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Bidhya Bhattarai, Minister for Defence Manbir Rai and Minister for General Administration and Federal Affairs, Ram Kumar Gupta.     

The UML leaders and cadres gathered at the party headquarters to celebrate the appointment of the party Chair as the new Prime Minister. Party senior vice chair Ishwor Pokharel, vice chair Asta Laxmi Shakya, and general secretary Shankar Pokhrel were among those present on the occasion to congratulate Oli.     

Prior to this, the Prime Minister paid tribute to martyrs at Lainchaur. (RSS)
