By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 15: Two songs from the film ‘Bulaki,’ which is scheduled to be released on August 16, have been recorded at Radio Nepal’s studio on Sunday.

The film ‘Bulaki’ was initially released on April 14 last year but was withdrawn due to a lack of screenings. Now, its producers are planning to re-release the film in theatres.

Nepal Idol Season 5 winner Karan Pariyar and singer Anu Chaudhary recorded a poignant song for the film, with singer Samikshya Adhikari lending her voice to another song.

This marks Pariyar’s debut as a playback singer.

The song, with music composed by Babul Giri, will be released next week, according to producer and actor Biraz Bista.

The film portrays the ‘Jari’ tradition prevalent in Karnali Province.

The film has won awards at various national and international film festivals for its story, script, direction, cinematography, and acting.

Due to the concern, love, and support from people both in Nepal and abroad, the film unit decided to re-release the film, said Bista.

Bista mentioned that they were re-releasing the film in theatres after re-editing and addressing its weaknesses to make it the best version possible.

The film, presented by the late Moti Bist and produced by Topendra Bist, is directed by Laxman Sunar. The cinematography is directed by Shiva Dhakal, and the screenplay is written by Raj Bahadur Sane.

Actress Surakshya Panta plays the lead role in the film, alongside Naren Khadka, Biraj Bisht, Saraswati Khatri, Laxmi Giri, Sushil Pokharel, Ramesh Budhathoki, Jhalanath Khatri, Upasana Nemwang and Laxman Devkota.
