Actress Arunima Lamsal makes comeback after a decade

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 9: Arunima Lamsal, a once popular actress in Nepali films, has returned to acting after a 10-year hiatus. 

She has recently started shooting a web series titled ‘Ghar But in America’, which is being shot in America. Lamsal has been in America since 2015 and recently acted in the movie ‘People’.

This series is directed by Bimlesh Adhikari, who also plays a lead role.  Adhikari, once a prominent figure in the field of Nepali music videos, has acted in hundreds of music videos and some movies.

 He has been living in Maryland, USA, since 2015. Adhikari made his debut as an actor in the movie ‘Break Fail’ and his last movie ‘Jung Bahadur Ko Kot’ in 2016. He has also been involved in acting and directing music videos.

Director Adhikari mentioned that the entire series will be shot in the situational comedy-drama genre.

 Written by Bibek Chaulagain, the series revolves around a daughter who is secretly in a live-in relationship and her parents who are on their first US tour from Nepal.

Actors Radha Babu Lamsal and Khem Sharma, who are based in America, have also played prominent roles in the series. Ashish Dahal, Samari Mainali, and Rosina Thapa are making their debut in this series.

The concept of the series, produced by Seven Colors Digital, is also by Bimlesh Adhikari.

 The streaming platform for this series, currently being filmed for the first season, has not yet been disclosed.
